Post-production for wedding filmmakers · US & France

"I thought no one could make them the way I feel them."

That's exactly what we know how to do.

Gael Hidalgo · Wedding filmmaker · On working with Wedit

Wedit is a post-production studio for established wedding filmmakers. We learn your style down to its instincts, then edit and grade so the film never feels like it left your hands.

A two minute form. Then a real conversation about your films.

The belief

"No one else can feel my films the way I do."

Every filmmaker who carries a real style believes this. And with most editors, they're right.

Send your footage to a farm and it comes back on time, on spec, and empty. Cut to the same beat as every other film in their queue, graded from the same pack, correct in every way that doesn't matter.

Style was never in the settings. It lives up there, in the choices. They can't be handed over in a brief. They have to be studied. So that's where we begin.

How we start

A conversation first. The timeline can wait.

Node 01

The Conversation

A simple form, two minutes. Then we get on a call and talk like filmmakers: your project, your vision, your style, the language your films speak. No packages read off a screen.

Node 02

The Style Study

We take two or three of your finished films apart. Structure, pacing, color language, how you use sound and silence. It becomes a written map of how you edit.

Yours to keep, either way
Node 03

The First Film

One real wedding, cut start to finish. Your footage, your music, your specs. Judged against a single question: could you have cut this yourself?

Node 04

The Standing Lane

When the style holds, you keep a reserved lane through your season. You shoot and direct. The films arrive finished, on time, under your name.

What comes back
"I've already watched the film three times in less than twenty four hours, and I cried every single time. This film is precious to me."
A bride, after receiving her film
"By far the best team I've ever worked with. They truly understood the look I was going for and completely nailed it."
Fares Bouraoui · Wedding filmmaker
"Amazing editor. Will hire Rami ten times over. Thank you for being great at what you do."

The standard

Story first. Then the cut. Then the color.

The structure has to hold before anything gets pretty. Once it does, everything runs through DaVinci Resolve, end to end. The grade is built node by node from your reference frames, on a panel, not pulled from a pack. Sound is mixed, not just synced.

One rule decides when a film is done: it has to feel the way the day felt.

From the founder

I'm a storyteller before I'm an editor, and an editor before I'm a colorist. That order is the whole method. The structure has to earn its place before a single node gets built, and the grade only ever serves what the story already holds. Wedit is small on purpose. The work runs through my hands, with a tight bench of editors I trust behind me. When you write to us, you're writing to me.

The fit

We are not for every filmmaker.

In · For you if

You shoot ten or more weddings a year and couples book you for a look they can describe. You have a style worth protecting and a calendar that no longer fits it. You want a partner who answers to your taste.

Out · Not for you if

You want the cheapest edit, the fastest template, or someone else's style laid over your footage. There are farms for that. This is not one of them.

Cut to:

Start with a conversation.

Fill a simple form. It takes two minutes: who you are, what you shoot, what you need. Within 48 hours we'll set up a meeting to talk through your project, your vision, your style, the language of your films. Filmmaker to filmmaker, no pitch.

Questions

Asked before every first film.

01Will the films actually match my style?+
That is what the first conversation and the Style Study exist to answer before money moves. We map your pacing, structure, and color language from your finished films, and cut from what you have already built. If we can't hold your style, we decline the work and tell you why.
02Who actually edits my films?+
Rami leads every project and finishes the complex work himself, with a small bench of trusted editors behind the simpler builds. Your films never sit in a queue with a stranger's name on the ticket.
03How fast is delivery?+
Highlight films typically run two to four weeks depending on scope. Rush lanes exist when the calendar allows. You get a real date before we start, and we hit it.
04What about revisions?+
Every film includes a structured revision round with timestamped notes. We work until the film is right, not just finished.
05How is pricing set?+
Per film, quoted after the first conversation once we have seen your footage and specs. No forced packages, no surprises after the fact.
06Do you ever talk to our couples?+
Never. You own the relationship end to end. We work behind you, not beside you.
